FLL BC offers FIRST Lego League (FLL), Junior FLL (JFLL), and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) programs.

FIRST Lego League

FIRST LEGO League (FLL) is an exciting and fun international robotics program that ignites an enthusiasm for discovery, science, and technology in kids ages 9 to 14. More information about JFLL can be found on the JFLL page of the FIRST website.

Junior FLL

Junior FIRST LEGO League (JFLL) is an exciting opportunity for the youngest budding scientists (ages 6 - 9). It encompasses the core concepts of all FIRST programs to inspire, excite, and introduce kids to the wonders of science, technology, and engineering. More information about JFLL can be found on the JFLL page of the FIRST website.

As with FLL, JFLL teams must register with FIRST for the 2007 season, then register to attend one of the regional FLL BC Tournaments. JFLL teams will participate in the regional tournaments only. Returning teams do not need to purchase another base kit, they can use the same one as last year.

FIRST Tech Challenge

The FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is a mid-level robotics competition for high-school students. It offers the traditional challenge of a FIRST competition but with a more accessible and affordable robotics kit. More information about FTC can be found on the FTC page of the FIRST website.

FTC was formerly called Vex. As with FLL, FTC teams must register with FIRST for the 2007 season, then register to attend the FLL BC Tournament. FTC teams will only participate in the BC tournament, not the regional tournaments.
